Sein Bulasing Becomes New KCSS President

On 25th may KCSS meeting was held in the confrence Hall of Kalasha Dur in order to elect new President for KCSS as Wazir Zada and his cabinet completed their three years term and handed the presidency over it to new vibrant KCSS personale.

Two outstanding memebers of KCSS, Mr.Sein Bulasing and Mr.Nabek Sharakat(kalash lawyer) were the candidates for Presidency,it became difficult to elect one of them eventualy one was elected by Toss.In this way Sein Bulasing became the President of KCSS and Nabek advocate General Secretary of KCSS.

Sein Bulasing with the consent of Nabek sharakat will appoint rest of the cabinet members for KCSS.

Η προφορική παράδοση των Καλάσα περιγράφεται από τον Γενικό Γραμματέα της Εταιρείας Προστασίας του Καλασικού Πολιτισμού, τον Ύαντα Βαζίκ, στην καθηγήτρια Ευσταθία Καραβάτσου. Ο Ύας Βαζίκ κατάγεται από τον βασιλικό οίκο των Καλάσα, που ως ιδρυτής του αναφέρεται ο Σέλευκος, ο στρατηγός του Μέγα Αλέξανδρου. Είναι η πρώτη φορά που ένας Καλάσα μιλά για τις πανάρχαιες ελληνικές εορτές και τελετές τους και επίσης πρώτη φορά είναι που καταγράφονται εκτενέστερα στην καθομιλουμένη ελληνική γλώσσα.
Το βιβλίο (διαστάσεων 21Χ28, και 128 σελίδων) συνοδεύεται με 300 ενδεικτικές αρχαίες ελληνικές αναφορές και 154 έγχρωμες φωτογραφίες που πιστοποιούν ότι πρόκειται για γνήσιες και αμιγείς ελληνικές παραδόσεις.
Κατά καιρούς έχουν δημοσιευθεί διάφορες αμφισβητήσεις περί εγκυρότητας των μαρτυριών των Καλάσα και αδόκιμα αμφισβητούν την σπουδαιότητα της ελληνικής καταγωγή τους και το συγκλονιστικό γεγονός της ιστορικής θρησκευτικής ύπαρξής τους.
Οι Καλάσα έχουν το απαράμιλλο ψυχικό σθένος και την αξιέπαινη δύναμη μέσα στις πλέον αντίξοες συνθήκες, που άλλους πολλούς απόγονους Ελλήνων δυστυχώς κατέβαλαν, να επιβιώνουν με αυτοθυσία, σύμφωνοι πάντα με τα ελληνικά ήθη και έθιμα. Στις καλασικές κοιλάδες της μεθορίου Πακιστάν-Αφγανιστάν το μυσταγωγικό κλίμα της αρχαίας ελληνικής εποχής των παραδόσεων και των τελετών είναι πράγματι ίδιο και απαράλλαχτο με το σημερινό!
Οι Καλάσα χορεύοντας σύμφωνα με τα αρχαία ελληνικά βήματα και σκοπούς στο ξάγναντο του μεγαλόπρεπου Ινδικού Καύκασου, αποτελούν σύγχρονη αντιπροσωπευτική – ζωντανή μαρτυρία στην σφαίρα της ιστορίας, καθώς και μια φυσική συνέπεια-συνέχεια του μύθου του Μέγα-Αλέξανδρου.

Snow leopard kills livestock

CHITRAL, 03 May 07: A snow leopard has killed several goats in the Kalash valley of Bumburait during the last couple of days.

Bumburait is the buffer zone of the Chitral Gol National Park, which is home of the snow leopard, one of the most endangered species.

Local resident Gul Mohammad said the leopard had attacked 19 goats on the pastures of the valley. He said local people could not shoot the animal because of prohibitions under the wildlife laws, although their own lives were at risk.

Seminar on Kalash culture and history

(Daily Times report)ISLAMABAD: The Alliance Française will hold a seminar on Kalash culture and history by Georges Lefeuvre today. The Kalash valley has invoked the interest of historians, sociologists and anthropologists as it concerns the British interaction with this tribe in the northwest of the sub-continent.

The Kalash people’s history and origin is unknown, though a number of myths, such as their Macedonian origin, prevail even today. The isolated Kalash tribe has managed to preserve its unique life-style in the middle of a Muslim-dominated area. Though the men dress similar to other Pakistanis, the women embellish their black robes with coloured spangles and often have tattooed faces.

These people once controlled a large area and inhabited both sides of the Durand Line that now divides Pakistan and Afghanistan. European Union representative and former Alliance Francaise Director Georges Lefeuvre is a historian and a social anthropologist and has spent over a year with the Kalash people during the 1980s, studying and documenting their socio-cultural norms.
